In the early hours of a tragic Sunday morning on Route 33, between Zavalla and Pérez in Santa Fe, a devastating event unfolded at the notorious “death curve.
” A fateful incident saw a total of seven individuals inside a Chevrolet S10, leading to the loss of two lives – a 35-year-old woman and a 4-year-old girl. The other occupants, including the 41-year-old driver, another woman aged 36, and three more children aged 10, 11, and 13 respectively, sustained various injuries.
According to officials familiar with the case, the fatal rollover occurred after 1 am at kilometer marker 782 along the national highway. Tragically, the woman and young girl succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, emergency services swiftly transported the surviving passengers to medical facilities in Rosario for urgent care. Notably among them were three minors admitted to the Children’s Hospital “
Víctor Vilela,” where they are currently receiving treatment but are thankfully deemed out of danger.
The injured woman is being treated at Centenario Hospital for multiple traumas, abrasions, and hypothermia. On the other hand, investigations have revealed that the driver of the ill-fated vehicle has been implicated in connection with this heartbreaking incident. He remains under medical observation and police custody at Clemente Álvarez Emergency Hospital (HECA), with his condition reported as stable.
