Ahead of the 30th anniversary of her death, her 1992 album Entre a Mi Mundo , one of her most popular albums, will be made available on vinyl for the first time. Featuring iconic hits like “Como La Flor,” “La Carcacha,” and “Que Creías,” Entre a Mi Mundo peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums and No. 4 on the Top Latin Albums chart when it was first released. The LP, which fans can pre-order now , will be available in a standard red vinyl and an exclusive picture disc at the Universal Music Latino webstore on April 25 and will feature remastered songs with updated audio mixes. “Entre A Mi Mundo joins our vinyl family for the first time ever with NEWLY remastered audio! ,” the official Selena Quintanilla Instagram account posted, announcing the news. Additionally her documentary Selena y Los Dinos, which celebrates the Tejana icon’s life and legacy through never-before-seen footage from the Quintanillas’ personal archive, premiered at SXSW on March 10 following its initial premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Directed by Mexican filmmaker Isabel Castro, the film gives fans and audiences a more intimate look into the Tejana icon’s life through interviews with her loved ones including her sister Suzette Quintanilla, her brother A.B. Quintanilla, and her husband Chris Pérez. It went on to win the 2025 “24 Beats Per Second” Audience Award at the festival in Texas. Pérez first met Selena when he became the lead guitarist of Selena y los Dinos. The documentary includes a moment where he’s reminiscing on how he and Selena hid their relationship from Selena’s father Abraham, who disapproved of the relationship, and how they stayed together after he was kicked out of the band: Stay connected! I always wanted Abraham’s respect,” Pérez said in the documentary. “I remember being really sad because we couldn’t be on the road together anymore… It was going to be tough for Selena and I to see each other and be together. We kind of lived that life for a few months.” Additionally, the documentary features a particularly touching scene with Pérez when he grows emotional reading a letter where Selena attempted to “feel out” his thoughts on marrying her. In the letter, Selena wrote about how she wished her family would see how she loved him and let them be together: “I’m sorry for freaking you out about wanting to get married, but I guess I’m feeling you out, trying to figure out what or should I say how much you love me,” Selena wrote in her letter. “Remember I’ll always and forever love you, and I miss you more as every second goes by. I love you always, Selena.” While reading the letter, Pérez takes a long pause and grows emotional as he stares at the letter. Despite Pérez’s hesitation at first due to his respect for the Quintanilla family, the pair secretly eloped on April 2, 1992 and remained together until her death three years later.
