Ex-Camporista José Ottavis From Scandals to Alleged Messiah Complex and Financial Wrongdoings

After a flamboyant foray into the public eye through his high-profile relationship with Victoria Xipolitakis, ex-deputy and La Cámpora activist José Ottavis had to hit pause on that lifestyle to battle his drug addiction. But that chapter came to an end recently. Now, Ottavis finds himself entangled in a new scandal with mystical undertones. He’s been accused not only of believing – and portraying himself as – the reincarnation of Jesus but also of orchestrating a civil association that, particularly in Corrientes, received millions for unfinished projects. Moreover, he resides in a lavish mansion with his wife, who is also facing embezzlement charges alongside him.

The former Camporista threw himself “wholeheartedly into religion

” by establishing a civil association called “

Amarte Argentina.” The organization aimed to assist vulnerable individuals and secured substantial funding, notably for projects in Monte Caseros, Corrientes, through the controversial Fondo de Integración Socio Urbana (FISU) during Victoria Tolosa Paz’s tenure at the Ministry of Social Development.

Celia Fabiana Brítez, Ottavis’ niece-in-law and namesake of his wife Celia Itatí Brítez, provided crucial insights during an investigative report aired on TN. She described Ottavis’ transition from battling addiction to embracing religious practices within Amarte Argentina’s framework. Brítez shared concerning details about enforced rosary sessions and manipulation tactics within the organization aimed at impoverished communities.

Brítez further revealed Ottavis’ grandiose delusions as he professed himself as Jesus reincarnate while attributing her aunt as Mary Magdalene in their spiritual narrative. These revelations painted a disturbing picture of Ottavis’ descent into messianic fantasies intertwined with financial malpractice allegations.

Accusations against Ottavis and Brítez include misappropriation of public funds and involvement in illicit associations regarding Amarte Argentina’s handling of over 11 billion pesos earmarked for Corrientes projects that never materialized as intended due to alleged fake cooperatives.

The intricate web weaves deeper with claims of forged signatures and documents involving fabricated cooperatives like Textiles Correntinos. Victims recounted being unwittingly roped into cooperative memberships only to be exploited financially by the accused perpetrators.

Despite promising infrastructure developments like housing units and community centers across various neighborhoods in Corrientes using government allocations worth billions, investigations exposed incomplete or substandard constructions—leaving locals disillusioned by false promises made under Amarte Argentina’s guise.

A pivotal moment arose when political affiliations were coercively demanded from beneficiaries—a stark indicator of how altruistic endeavors morphed into tools for partisan gains under Ottavis’ leadership.

The once-promising initiative spearheaded by Ottavis morphed into a cesspool of corruption allegations amid unfulfilled obligations towards marginalized communities crying out for genuine support.

As truths unraveled about mismanaged funds meant for societal upliftment slipping into personal pockets hidden behind spiritual facades—questions loomed over accountability mechanisms failing those most in need amidst power play dynamics orchestrated by figures entrusted with public welfare responsibilities like ottaviS &co-written expert insights needed here
