Considered the largest religious festival in the Midwest, the Romaria do Divino Pai Eterno 2025 is gearing up to welcome approximately 6 million pilgrims from June 27 to July 6 in Trindade, Goiás. This year’s theme is “Eternal Father, make us pilgrims of hope.” Trindade is revered as one of Brazil’s main religious destinations, attracting devotees from across the country to partake in acts of faith and devotion.
The event features a daily schedule and special activities. Highlights of the program include guided tours of the construction site of the New Sanctuary of the Divine Eternal Father from 7 am to 6 pm, the official debut of the world’s largest tolling bell, Vox Patris, masses, baptisms, confessions at various times, the Penitence Procession, and the Carriage Drivers’ Pilgrimage.
The Romaria’s complete schedule is packed with events ranging from the Alvorada Festiva at 5 am to the Penitence Procession, masses, and special activities at various venues throughout Trindade. From the Santuário Basílica to the Igreja Matriz, each location offers a unique spiritual experience for pilgrims seeking solace and renewal.
The Romaria kicks off with the 16th Pilgrimage of Military and Armed Forces, Police, and Security personnel, followed by a series of processions, masses, and special ceremonies catering to different groups, such as the Romaria of Mothers Praying for Their Children and the Vocational and Youth Pilgrimage. These events bring together diverse communities in a shared celebration of faith and devotion.
Throughout the festival, various parishes and organizations participate in special activities, including pastoral groups, cyclists, social works, and youth programs. The Romaria culminates in a grand celebration on the 10th day, featuring a festive dawn, the Penitence Procession, solemn masses, and a luminous procession to mark the event’s closure.
